Drive Rite Initiative Assessment
The purpose of the Drive Rite: Keys to Smart Driving Assessment is to determine the effectiveness of the Drive Rite program for reducing teen driving-related accidents and deaths. The Drive Rite Assessment includes assessment of actual logged driving time, learning and skill development gained through educational programming, and program process evaluation to inform the effectiveness of the program methods, and follow-up evaluation to track traffic citations and crash records for youth and parents.
This assessment process has four parts:
1. Parent Pre-Assessment: The parent will be complete a pre-assessment as they join the enroll in the local Drive Rite Initiative.
2. Parent Post-Assessment: The parent will be complete a post-assessment upon completion of the Drive Rite program.
3. Parent Follow Up Survey: Parents agree to allow access to driving records for two years following program completion to track driving-related citations and crashes.
4. Program Process: The program process includes assessment of educational lesson plans, online interactive lesson plans, quarterly meetings, and tracking of youth driving time.
