THANK YOU! We would like to thank the following companies for their donations to the Tippecanoe County Drive Rite program. Coca Cola Company Walmart Marsh Grocery Store Payless Grocery Store Research to discover new knowledge about what works in youth development and education takes time and dedicated resources. Teen driving-related crashes are the leading cause of death for American teens; yet, we are still unsure what different educational components are best taught in what combination at what age to effectively teach safe driving practices. Some say it is about extending the amount of driving practices, while others suggest that we need to delay the onset of full-licensing privledges, support greater parental involvement and monitoring of teen driving experiences, and enforce graduated licensing programs. The Drive Rite program provides the resources needed to test these program components to determine what works in driver's education with the goal of reducing teen driving-related injuries and deaths on U.S. roadways by bringing research and education to communities in partnership with the Land Grant Cooperative Extension System.
