Many
of you have been notified by your CED
that you have access to your county's
web template to work on preparing the
site for the mandatory switch over on
February 1. Several users have reported
problems accessing the site to manage
the pages. I have included information
below for accessing the site.
First and foremost –
before you can login to the web template
maintenance page your CED must grant you
some level of access.
Once the CED has granted
you access you must follow the steps
below to synchronize your password. To
enable you to login to the web template
maintenance page you will need to
synchronize your password. The web
template uses your outlook password.
Please follow the instructions below.
Login to
https://exchange.purdue.edu . Use
your Outlook username
and password. Click the "Options" button
on the lower left. Scroll to the bottom
of the page and click the "Change
Password" button. Using the popup form,
reset your password (you may reset it to
the same password you are currently
using if it meets the criteria
below ). Use "onepurdue" as the
domain name. The account is your
username (not necessarily your email
address for all users). Once you have
reset the password, logout of OWA and
attempt to login to
http://www2.ces.purdue.edu/ces/admin/default.aspx
again.
For best results, be
certain your password meets the
following criteria:
-
Must be at least 7
and no more than 8 characters long.
-
Must contain at
least 1 letter.
-
Must contain at
least 1 number or punctuation mark.
-
Must contain more
than 4 unique characters.
If your password does
not adhere to the above criteria, it may
not properly propagate to all
appropriate systems and services.
Please note:
- If your current
password is not 7-8 characters I would
suggest that you select a new password
that is in that length range. That
length of password appears to work best
on the Purdue system.
- Changing to a
different password here will change your
Outlook password.
- If you use a 5
character password you may not be able
to access Outlook. That password length
appears to be particularly problematic.
- I would suggest that
your password not start or end with a
special character (punctuation mark)
Please email
cthelp@agad.purdue.edu if you are
still unable to login and someone from
the helpdesk will contact you.
Those of you who will be
working on the web template can access
the manual and streaming modules on the
web on the
application county templates resource
page.
If you have problems or
questions not addressed there please
email
cthelp@agad.purdue.edu so that the
county template help group has full
information regarding problems or
questions regarding the templates.
Using this address will assure you the
quickest response possible from those
staff members assigned to the project.
