Abstract
This page shows what a typical IHETS network installation may look like.
These pictures are from Howard County.
IHETS/IND-NET Equipment
IHETS will install 4 main pieces of hardware. This picture shows the Cisco
2500 router (black box on table), the white APC UPS on the floor, the blue
NetGear 4 port ethernet hub on top of the UPS, and a white Hayes modem behind
the hub.
Cisco Router
This is the Cisco 2500 router. It is approximately 20" wide by 2" tall by 14"
deep.
Ethernet Hub, UPS, and Modem
The blue box is the NetGear ethernet hub. Note there are four connectors on
the front of the hub. One port is connected to the router, one to the UPS, and
one to the ACN installed hub.
The white box under the hub is an APC UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply). The
white box behind the hub is the Hayes modem that IHETS may use to configure the
router through an ordinary phone line (whether the 56K leased line is working or
not).
