Printing Custom Headers and Footers in Internet Explorer
Microsoft_Internet_Explorer
courtesy of Gannett News Service, "Komando's Q&A

Do you ever need to control what gets printed at the top and bottom Of the Web pages you print using your Internet Explorer browser?

If so, bring up the IE window, select "File" | "Page Setup". You'll
be entering special codes into either or both the "Header" and
"Footer" boxes.

If you want the Web page's address printed, enter " &u" (without the quotes). You can combine codes, too. To see a list of codes, click on the question mark in the upper right corner in the "Page Setup" menu; the cursor becomes a question mark and you may then click on either the "Header" or "Footer" box to see the appropriate lists (add window title, date, time, current page number, etc.).

Overcoming Browser Site Tricks
Microsoft_Internet_Explorer
Have you ever visited a web site, tried to leave, and the "Back" button was disabled? That's a ploy being used by some web sites now-to disable your "Back" button to keep you on their site.

Fool 'em! Do a right-click on the "Back" button and you'll see a list of pates you've visited. Click something on that list to move back.

Note: This works for the "Forward" button also.

Removing Temporary Internet Files
Microsoft_Internet_Explorer

Are you shocked by all the IE (Internet Explorer) files in your "Temporary Internet Files" folder? Do you attempt to remedy that by removing them manually every day?

There's a better "fix". You can have IE automatically delete files in this folder when you close your browser if you wish. While in Explorer, select "Tools" | "Internet Options". Choose the "Advanced" tab and scroll down to the "Security" section (sections are arranged alphabetically). Check the option "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed". Click "OK" and those temporary files will disappear whenever you close the browser.
